CareCloud Continues Market Momentum, Signs Record Number of Clients, and Opens Boston Office To Attract Top Industry Talent
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CareCloud, a leading provider of cloud-based practice management, electronic health records (EHR), and medical billing software and services, today announced the company reported its 13th consecutive quarter of revenue growth during the first quarter of 2013, ending March 31. The company’s cloud-based platform now powers close to 3,000 providers in 45 states as medical groups look to improve their operational and clinical outcomes amidst a rapidly changing healthcare reimbursement environment. During the first quarter, CareCloud reported that it signed a record of more than 100 new clients and ended the period handling more than $2 billion in annualized accounts receivables on behalf of its revenue cycle management clients.
“CareCloud finds itself at what might be the most exciting time of our existence as we continue to expand our platform and scale the company. We continue to experience tremendous growth across all of our cloud-based software and services suite. The first quarter saw the company hit a record in new clients signed. Our experience supports the growing trend of medical groups switching out legacy client-server or 1990s era web-based practice management and electronic health record systems for our more modern, flexible applications and services that will better navigate the changing healthcare environment,” said Albert Santalo, CareCloud’s Chairman and CEO. “We also continue to make significant strides in our product development, debuting the latest version of our cloud-based EHR at the annual HIMSS Conference in March that will be generally available in the coming month. We believe this will be a catalyst for even faster adoption of our products.”
Opens CareCloud Boston To Tap Local Engineering Talent And Ecosystem
In March, CareCloud announced the opening of its new Boston office, located in the heart of city’s Innovation District. Boston will stand as CareCloud’s second operational site and will primarily be used to bolster the company’s engineering, product marketing and various account management capabilities.
Santalo continues, “CareCloud was thrilled to partner with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Boston in its decision to locate an important new office in Boston’s Innovation District. We are thrilled to be in Boston given the robust talent pool around the city and unparalleled ecosystem of technologists, healthcare providers, and world-class academic institutions. We are confident that the Boston office will be a major recruiting tool as well as further establish our overall brand in healthcare.”
